This fabulous week I felt gratitude for the following:

• individuality
• happy there is more than one way to do things
• parallel lives are possible
• i can follow my path, it is right; you follow your path, it is right too; and so on and so on.
• convinced we are all one i never feel alone.
• there are persons who provide us with organics.
• Zhena’s Ambrosia Plum Tea....*
• i can dream to be a beekeeper; look forward to a raised garden when we settle down from traveling; work on my art.*
• sacred in everything, everywhere, all the time.
• you can follow your heart, your dreams, your goal, your own sacred.  and so may i.  yippee.
• for being a woman, mother, friend.  Molly Gael’s Mom. :-}
• bees and butterflies
• sticky, drippy watermelon
• homemade lavender soaps
• sheep(s) they are always smiling
• loving my journey
• my best friends have my back
• more mystery books await
• grilled salmon and homemade potato salad
• Milo the movie

Today in the United Kingdom!

During the 1600's, England celebrated a day called "Mothering Sunday."

Mothering Sunday was celebrated on the Sunday of Lent (the 40-day period leading up to Easter), to honor the mothers of England. 

During this time many of England's poor worked as servants for the wealthy.

 Most of the servant's jobs were located far from home, 

so the servants would live at their employer's homes.

 On Mothering Sunday, the servants were encouraged to return home

 and spend the day with their mothers. 

A special cake, called the mothering cake, was often brought along to provide a festive touch. 

As Christianity spread throughout Europe,

 the celebration changed to honor the "Mother Church"

the spiritual power that gave people life and protected them from harm.

 Over time, the church festival became combined with Mothering Sunday 

and people began honoring their mothers as well as the church.
