Shields Family Reunion Labor Day Weekend 2012 Illinois

There was a reunion, family I had never met.  It exceeded my expectations for happy.   Easy people to meet, open and friendly. The atmosphere was welcome, the food delicious, the trivia games were fun too!

My Family
The Illinois
Sheilds

Saturday was Mexican food day, Sunday was potluck.  There was turkey and dressing, potato casserole, baked rice. and salads.  Yummy
.
Cake Balls, chocolate chip cheesecake, raspberry jello cake, chocolate chip cookies, brownies, turtle cake, blackberry mouse pie, de-lisc-ous.

My mother's family is full of fisherman and women.
The guys went fishing, the guys caught fish.  Steve cooked, Oscar prepped  and Darryl tasted.  Delicious!
Below is Cousin Bev, I found her online, and the rest is history.
The hostess and the host!  Dawn and Sonny opened their home to welcome everyone to the reunion.
Kids love to play, adults love to eat, and visit.
The Ladies
A great big thank you to Dawn and Anita, thanks to their hard work this reunion was a great success.
Women are strong and beautiful, keepers of the hearth and family, they keep the fires burning, they fan the flames of love keeping us connected.

Aren't they wonderful!

Thank you dear one's, you are in my heart forever!
