the stutter of rain ..." ❤ excerpt (c) Amy Schutzer

when the full moon visits.....

when the full moon visits each month
i am enthralled and enchanted
full moons fill me with energy
fill me with longing for simplicity
nostalgic for yesterdays
i call down the luminous
veil and wrap my shoulders
with this ancient shawl
i sashay up under
a giant cypress
the moon turns
lacy branches
mahogany table
tea lights flicker
nag champa smokey haze
twirls upward through
the window screen
a ritual reclamation
remembrance
a thankful heart

this same beautiful
wise moon has shined
on everyone since
time began
i wrote this and it was fun.....

I could smell the nag champa and feel the breeze. You created the scene nicely.
