Doesn’t this make you think all Dances With Wolves...west or midwest, old west? Jesse James riding in on a red paint, floppy cowboy hat, deer skin pants, dusty chambray blue shirt. Worn soft leather boots, steely jingle spurs, cowboy for sure.
For me, this photo is a place to go, a mental travel, imagination station. A poem waiting to happen. Pictures can be a muse for me.
imagine
who lived here
cowboy gone
gold miner
his gold
mine
digging for gold
gold dust in his eyes
dreams dripping hope
everywhere
itchy wool blanket
covers sleep
coyote howl
wise owl hoots
chill to the bone
woodland solitude
up before dawn
campfire
black iron skillet
beans and rabbit
coffee on the side
pan for the god
sift sand
cold running water
a golden prayer
dig out from
riding the range
to the
Gold Nugget Saloon
“i wrote this, and it was fun.”

AHHHH yep... feel good thoughts...
Hey girly thanks for putting the goatie coats on :O)...
I love it! My favorite thing when I see old places is to wonder and imagine who was there and what they did.....
Hello Sandi, i love it when you let your imagination wander and then put the images into beautiful poems so we can wander with you.
Thanks for your sweet comment and i wish for you that soon you will be on the travel again, seeing beautiful places and meeting like-minded and inspiring people. Hope you are feeling well and the heart issues can be solved and cured.
Take good care my far away poet friend, love and hug x
