"...It can take as long as it takes..."

Childe Hassam - "Gathering Flowers French Garden - 1888

“it” can take as long as it takes....

comforting attitude
stacks layers of calm
in my mind
peace tags along
behind
Visiting a friendly blog
brought a rush
dated reaction
raising children
the most important
job in the world
honestly I was
feeling my way blind
through the dark
insecure awakening
called parenthood
if we could begin
at the end of experience
the path would be clearer
we would know our
way around the bend
and back
time
six decades
shows you who’s boss
to be free you
may want to learn
the art of
letting go
life will come
to you
believe it or not
being still
long enough
for wisdom
to land is
the tricky part
“...i wrote this and it was fun...”

You are so talented with your words.
I usually understand what you write and sometimes other
meanings.
My special gift..
Wish I was able to add the special
affects like you do - they are
great.
Have a good weekend.

Great poem. Wouldn't it be nice to have hindsight before something happens. But that's impossible, isn't it? :-)

I am a Cancer and these lines resonate with me.
We tend to draw into our shell and contemplate
when overwhelmed.

We need a quiet place to balance ourself
and find inner peace.

meaningful poem
I read it many times
thank you for sharing
