“I wandered lonely as a cloud
That floats on high o'er vales and hills,…” William Wordsworth
Our Gulf of Mexico is filled with oil. The shrimpers and fisherman will loss many a payday. Our sea dwelling oysters, shrimp and fish will die. The Gulf eco system will be severely damaged.
There is terrorism in our streets and fighting on our borders.
These issues disturb me and I wonder at the thoughtless and reckless ways of mankind.
And I must confess, these days, the path above the clouds is where I’m gazing. My imaginations are in full speed ahead.
Touch the earth and kiss the sky. I will perch myself upon a fence and gaze upon a star. Find fields full with wheat, walk through, and feel the stalks slip through my fingertips.
Wander between the oak trees, stepping on the fallen leaves. Drink in the musty scent of soil and view the sky between the branches of a tree.
Peek through a keyhole and see a garden lush and green. Push open the double wooden gate to join the solitude of earth.
Make no mistake I am thankful for all the good things and work hard to keep a positive attitude about life. I travel and visit places through my reading, blogging and my imagination. Wide open spaces clear my head. Short trips to interesting and beautiful places revive my spirit. Be they real or imaginary.
Have a wonderful day!
“Fear less, hope more; Eat less, chew more; Whine less, breathe more; Talk less, say more; Love more, and all good things will be yours.” ~ Swedish Proverb
