Into the Woods - Saturday
Not a hot day, a just right, thank you very much day. Molly and mommy followed the path. Molly went off path for her little side trips. With her big ears she hears every little thing. Mostly we were greeted by green leaves, a few autumn colors, smooth and chunky tree barks, and bird sounds. Red birds flitted everywhere, and a little squeaky chirper I could not identify. Dark damp soil peeked through the shaggy skinny grasses and cover of leaves. Patches of beautiful green pompoms I have never seen before dressed up the forest floor.
Silence was not complete as our woodland in near a road, we took what silence we could find, and were thankful for it. Silence is golden, didn’t you know?
Tennessee is impressing the heck out of me. Cooler weather, stunning landscapes, homey campground. Good water and a show of rain today. Good things are afoot in this place. Peace seems settled over us like a blanket.
Walk through the woods with us for a spell......
Happy Sunday everyone.

I lived in Tennessee for awhile, many years ago. Murfreesboro. Such beautiful country. Are you anywhere near there?

You've taken beautiful photos. I wonder why it seems like Fall is coming faster there than to NY? Glad to read you're still enjoying the journey!
This is a lovely post! I wait all year for these golden September days on forest trails...:)
