Sunday Song ❧ Singing Bird

sunday song ❧ singing bird
singing bird
this morning
small black bird
in a cottonwood
tree
staccato
chudup chudup
trill trill
tweedeet tweedeet
little feathers
giving thanks for
midnight rain
from his branch
he saw gathering
gray clouds
more rain?
chudup chudup
trill trill
tweedeet tweedeet
i wrote this, and it was fun.”

Beautiful post. I so love to listen to the birds sing. What a wonderful alarm clock they can be.

Pretty bird to sing a song of thanks for the rain.

The starling is such a pretty bird. Lovely prose.
