Everything's Coming Up Roses....

Romeo and Juliet ❦
Juliet:

"What's in a name? That which we call a rose By any other name would smell as sweet."

we made it to the Rose Show, at least, the after glow.  i have been sick all week, but made myself go out for awhile.  i knew I would regret it if I didn’t go.
the show was set up in an air conditioned tent looking a little Lawrence of Arabia, in white vinyl.  i was surprised. some of the lovelies were wilted, still beautiful, but wilted.

Thomasville downtown is very nice.  vintage stores and eateries.   i did wander inside two shops, the BookShelf, and a glorious everything for the hearth shop, shown with great style.   i want to go back and buy something. silly me.

The BookShelf is one of the best.  small but chocked full of all the right books.  right on the money juvenile section, history, fiction, poetry, i was enchanted.
i saw every rose, up close and personal, and took shots of those i liked best.
roses are elegant ancestors.
next year i want to spend all morning visiting all the shops.
i want to revisit the roses too, before the heat strikes.

Thomasville, Georgia keeps Georgia On my Mind.

Roses are so nurturing and nourishing.
The ones that are photographed are so sensual.

Bookstores are also nurturing and nourishing. I'm enjoying your photos and observations from the road.
