Happy Imbloc - Lá Fhéile Bríde - the Feast Day of St. Brigid

Wishing you all a very Happy Imbolc/Candlemas.
Winter is a season of less.  Spring is tiptoeing in on lambs feet.  Living deep in the south the grasses are crunchy brown from one freeze.  No snow, very little cold weather.  Nonetheless I will be happy to see the grasses turn green, happy for the flowering, and planting of seasonal vegetables.
The turning of the season wheel is so good for me.  Changes. Each season puts a new spin on life.
Good food milk glass candle holders, glowing lighted yellow tapers, throw the linen and lace table cloth, place fresh marigolds on the table.  A fabulous meal awaits. Juicy beef roast surrounded by carrots, potatoes, onions and celery, seasoned with Guinness Extra Stout Beer.   Served over Champ Potatoes (real butter, green onions boiled in milk, stirred into mashed potatoes, very yummy).  Cabbage and coleslaw and cornbread.  Iced tea.
I offer you an old Irish Blessing, adapted from an old Gaelic runes.  I like the idea of reading something so old.  You may click on the source for this and read the blessing in Gaelic.  I love to sound the words.

Deep peace of the running wave to you
Deep peace of the flowing air to you

Deep peace of the quiet earth to you
Deep peace of the shining stars to you
Deep peace of the gentle night to you
Moon and stars pour their healing light on you
Deep peace of Christ,
Christ the light of the world to you
Deep peace of Christ to you
